Guest guest
Felice, From my experience, it is all of it. The effects are cumulative - each adding to the previous. Often, the reaction is not all immediate but instead delayed - as much as 12 hours or more sometimes. As for seeing the beautiful flowers - you might want to avoid smelling them. For me, fresh flowers are as bad as perfumes, fabric softeners, etc. Sue ston
Guest guest
Geeze, guess maybe a rash is the way to go.. If the baby is a moldy like us then corn is no good for it either...LOL Yikes is there anything pure anymore? No organic spinach, then no spinach, no corn no baby powder no Teflon pans... OK, Jeanine said her daughter gets it now but I had to throw another one in here... I need HOPE. thank you, felice > Well, in '97 Dr diagnosed me as a " Universal Reactor " and said that life was going to be pretty much impossible from now on. I managed escape that diagnosis through mold avoidance, and watch a few people repeat the same experience of recovery by doing the same thing. I recently encountered the story of another person who took himself from being unable to predict when he could even stand up - back to mountain climbing - exploiting the " EPO effect " described in Mold Warriors. Dr Shoemaker is a genius. He's the ONLY doctor who understands precisely " the Effect " that a lucky few of us managed to uncover. With a bit of cooperation from the medical system, perhaps he can soon make that technology available for more people. I went from being a prototype for the CFS epidemic to controlling my illness, and being active again - so there is good reason for hope. -

Guest guest
Ed - I hope your days improve and that tomorrow's pain is less than todays was. Just breathe and exhale slowly and think about the plus things in your life! You can still mow your lawn! Hang in > > Today is a 8 .5 pain day I fell down steps and hurt my ankles one bad and the other not so. But it is hard to walk I have to be careful. Of course that makes my arms, hands, shoulders and legs hurt. Has to go and change the blades on the lawn mower, had trouble took the deck off so I just killed my arms. My back been hurting it is the nerve that runs down your leg that is pinched. Them my Wife hasn't been talking to me this last week. It is ok when she is gone baby sitting but she is home today. I get so tired of hurting and everything else. Probably said to much but most of the time I just say nothing. > > Ed >
Guest guest
I'm so sorry Ed.I get sick of hurting too. Physiclly. as well as emotionally. Tomorrow has to be better.I hope so and wish that for you. Blessing Gerri
Guest guest
Ed, This can happen to anyone, with CMT, or without. I know all to well falling and feeling hurt is a fact. I hope now you will rest for several days and ice those ankles every 15-20 minutes, also I have used Arnica gel/or cream on foot/ankle and arms. Your body needs to be treated tenderly by you now, as it has been over-stressed by the fall and hurt. Spending time in a hot tub or hot bath will help too. As for your back, I'm not sure if your problem was due to the fall or it has been with you for sometime. However, nerve problems in the back like yours need medical attention. This is all my personal experience. Physical therapy can help, if that doesn't work, there are injections and yet still, I had a spinal fusion to allieviate the problem/s. Finding an orthopedist who was a specialist in spine care was one of the best thing that ever happened to me. As for your wife, while we are not counselors here, perhaps you may want to consider going in for a few sessions. Disharmony in one's home just increases the stress factor and stress has proved harmful to CMT. If you are so 'tired of hurting' - from CMT in general, please talk to your doctor about this. There is help available. I cannot expend energy in waste. I need to go as slowly as necessary to maintain a steady pace - for me. In other words, pace myself and what I'm doing. I've had bad days, bad weeks, bad months, bad years, bad decades. But you know, I got through it all with time, patience and learning more about who I am and listening to my bodh. The positives far outweigh the negatives and it all just made me have more resolve and made me stronger. Gretchen
