Guest guest
" Hear Ye Hear Ye! " I am proposing a tell all and issuing the *challenge* to all members that would like to share what benefits they reap from the drinking, the process and the sharing of this wonderful elixer! I will start this off with my most outstanding acheivement so far IMHO!!. I have been able to stop drinking alcohol. Yeah! I realized I had an issue with alcohol some time ago and had stopped drinking several times only to begin again in social situations which would always grow to drinking daily again in no time flat. I just could not stay sober and I really wanted to. While still drinking alcohol, I started brewing kombucha. I really liked it but could not afford to buy it. I had no thought of it helping me get sober or helping me to remain sober, I just enjoyed it! After brewing for a while I decided to stop drinking again. I realized after some time I did not desire or crave alcohol anymore. I asked myself what I was doing differently. I was drinking KT daily! For me, sobriety is nothing short of a miracle! I started drinking at age 13 and am now 46. I did not drink in excess this entire time, but as of late it had become the norm. I did not like myself, the things I did and said. I felt terrible all the time, and looked worse!! I became sober and have stayed sober and I credit this success to kombucha as it is the only thing I did differently from the times before. I take bottles with me everywhere! When I am in a social situations, peoples homes and even to restaurants so I don't feel empty handed. It is fizzy and wonderful and so far no one has minded my bringing my own beverage, even to bars when I go with my hubbie and friends. I drink it at home much the same way I used to drink beer. I used to reach for a beer if I was stressed, now I pop the top on a refreshing invigorating fizzy beverage and don't have to feel guilty!! I have even successfully brewed a decaf so I can drink it in the evenings without sleeplessness. I love having this group of friends with everyone sharing and helping and generally being awesome!! Thanks to all!! So " Tag, Your it! " What has KT done for you lately? Cheers!

Guest guest
I " had " a really BAD, arthritic or gouty big toe... it was VERY painful.. hurt to walk.. to touch it with a sheet.. NOW It barely hurts! I can walk with out pain! I had noticed that it was barely hurting anymore.. I don't have health insurance & had gone to my doc to see if I could get something for the inflammation. I did get a prescription but it made my stomach bleed & had to get off the meds. Anyway I noticed it wasnt hurting as much or hardly at all & the only thing that I had done differently was to drink kombucha & kefir! I love my kombucha! People at work think I am CRAZY LOL with all my fermenting & experimenting! I LOVE IT! Patti ________________________________ > > " Hear Ye Hear Ye! Guest guest
I started drinking kombucha knowing nothing about it except that it is a tonic. I loved the taste and was drinking eight ounces a day of store-bought (and going broke at $4.00 per bottle) when I realized after about a week that I was getting the best nights' sleep I'd had in years, maybe in my whole life. To stay afloat financially, I started brewing my own, with the result that I was drinking more per day. After awhile, I noticed that the frequent stomachaches I'd had for years were gone, that my outlook on life was brighter (probably due to lack of candidiasis), and that I was able to eat small amounts of foods I had been intolerant of, like dairy, nuts and (most importantly!) chocolate, without ill effects. In a discovery similar to yours, , I noticed that I didn't need coffee anymore. I didn't crave it, and I didn't 'need' it to wake up in the morning. The benefit which took me most by surprise, however, was an increase in my libido. I won't go into the details, but suffice it to say that my husband was thrilled. I told him it was the result of drinking kombucha, and now he is a loyal supporter of the brew. Thank you, Kombucha! Carol > > " Hear Ye Hear Ye!
Guest guest
Personally I started drinking it because I had two gout attacks and after taking 2000mg of ibuprofen every 8 hrs, over a weekend, just to kill the pain I decided I needed something to strengthen my kidneys so they would filter the uric acid and undo any damage I might have caused by taking so much ibuprofen. I started slowly on home brewed KT drinking about 12 oz per day but quickly ramped up to 3-4 times that amount. After about a week of the higher amounts I could feel the gout being pulled out of the big toe I had the attacks in, but then I could feel, to a lesser degree my other big toe being cleaned as well. I have never since that time had another gout again. I actually stopped drinking it for a while out of shear laziness but have recently dipped into my bottled reserve. It is a fine beverage for sure with great health benefits. - Jeff > > > " Hear Ye Hear Ye!
