Did I read that correctly? You last doc didn't think Stills was

real? Who diagnosed you?

I had a Rhuemy that didn't think Fibro was real. He said it was just

another name for fatigue and the only reason I had that was/is

because I'm fat. Truth be told I am obese but he's an idiot.

I've been to a few doctors up here but have since gone back to the

doc I had when we first moved to Florida. It's only 1 1/2 hour drive

so why not. The man knows his stuff, he's good and he's up on the

latest stuff (none of which am I a candidate for).

Good luck with the new doc. I'd like to know how it goes and what

you think of him/her.

I had a bunch of good docs in Idaho ( Boise ) none knew what stills was or any

thing but after the dx they all treated me for it to the piont of almost killing

me because they did not talk to each other ( most of them that is )

I was DX at Stanford Med center in Palo alto calif. ya the big med collage. the

doc was the PHD of . romatolagy The head cheese so to speak! now back in calif I

have yet to have a doc that reats it for real. this was at kiser when i had them

and this last one ( an old fart whos biggest thing was well there is no cure so

may want to get used to it )

I know i am flairing and not a little one, cheeks rosesy again and hurting so

dang much .all I do is sit in front of a tv refinsh my gun stocks LOL ( a red

enck thing) I know I just want to feel like i did a year after my devorce . hey

ya thing there is some thign to this I get devorced and my stress leave lowers

and I start feeling good . got remarried last Sept and now flairing and stress

is back up! Hmmm may be i should rethink this marrage thing ! okay thought

about it stress = kids and no money so it is not the marrage pew good thing cuse

this old bazard loves his youg chick ( ya I robbed the cradel so I could get the

cream of the crop this time as last i got the dam left overs LOL

I live in South Florida, I know about the redneck thing. Guns are a

big deal here. We don't have any but we know plenty of people that

do.

When I was diagnosed I was the second person the hospital saw with

Stills within 4 months. My doctors in Peekskill, NY were young and

up on all kinds of things. They also weren't afraid to ask questions

of other professionals.

Florida is another story entirely. Young or old, doctors here don't

inquire about " unusual " things. They would much rather ignore it and

hope " it " walks into another doctors office. My Rhuemy, however, now

has four of us in his practice. He's about the same age as I am (mid

40's I think) and absolutely up on the latest things. His bedside

manner sucks until you get to know him but he's really done

incredible things for me.

Congrats on the marriage (wink). Since you have access to the web

you may want to think about doing something online to make a few

extra dollars. My husband cleaned out one of our closets and I'm

about to put stuff up on ebay. I'm not going to make much but a few

extra dollars is a good thing.

I appreciate your wanting to defend me, it's very sweet of you. I've

lived with this prejudice my entire life and it doesn't phase me

anymore (sorry to say). People, including doctors, have their own

demons to deal with and if they can't accept someone different from

them it's their own problem, not mine. I truly believe that.
