mattress off gassing, carpets

We have no carpets in this apartment -- they are ripping out the carpets in the

new apartment for us before we move in because we don't want carpets (dust

mites, etc).

I am seriously considering the off gassing as a possibility. The apartment

wasn't really closed off, we just weren't here at the time. All the windows

were open and our cat sitter was coming in every day and running the air.
