Guest guest
hi everyone, been sick for the whole month of may and finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel. been reading, but not posting. i did go to the sosort conference for 1 day. hi natalie! as usual, dr. rivard is such a pleasure to talk to. it was really great to see all the other bracing options out there. also, it was nice to see dr. emans give a brief intro talk as well as dr. thompson (president of srs) give a talk about the providence brace versus the boston brace that is basically outlined in his newest paper paralleling dr. rivard's study in the spinecor brace. it was pretty obvious that dr. thompson has a lot of respect for dr. rivard's and coillard's work. which is fabulous considering what he represents. i do have a copy of thompson's paper in pdf, but made a foolish mistake and did not end up getting dr. rivard's. i will return to mass general's library next week to get that as well. when i do i will set it up on the group. also, hoping for some well wishes for our upcoming appointment on monday. 5 months sure does go by fast. got that butterfly feeling. will post when we return. my best, deshea mom to lucas -- 5 yrs old with infantile scoliosis diagnosed at 18 mos 68o/45o; spinal detethering due to a tight/fatty filum at 22 mos; tlso and charleston brace from 18 mos to 2 1/2 yrs old at children's boston, ma; serial plaster casting from 2 1/2 until 4 1/2 at shriners in erie, pa; now in a spinecor brace at 19o/13o from montreal. and ruby -- almost 3 yrs old and a handful! north of boston, ma
