Guest guest
, I suspect that medication has helped the sensory issues, but it is hard to tease that out specifically. His sensory eating issues have been such a biggie that I have concentrated on that a lot. At various times he has developed a temporary appetite and been willing to eat. I'm not sure what allows these lapses in anorexia, but have ascribed them sometimes to puberty, sometimes to appetite meds (periactin), sometimes to growth hormone shots. Who knows. We had a discussion about the clothing today, and he agreed to try an ERP approach. He will choose an item that is " uncomfortable " but otherwise acceptable and wear it for increasing periods of time. We'll see how it goes. Judy Re: Judy/ S.I. and meds again Dear Judy, Oh boy. I didn't expect the sensory issues to resurface. That's not something to look forward to. Has medication helped this in the past? Any idea what brought on the flare up? I don't have any answers, but I have to say it's fascinating to think about issues like this coming and going. Annie never experienced any ups and downs with the sensory stuff, just the OCD. So far anyway.
