Guest guest
Hello all, Well we went to VT today to see the pedi ortho. They did x rays and measures Mila's curve at 24 degrees. But we are not sure if it is right or left. If you physically look at her body, it is a left thoracic. On the x-ray it is a right thoracic. Very strange. The MD did not want to re x-ray her, he said that it may be flexible depending on how she is sitting/laying. She also has severe torticollis, which he believes may be contributing to the scoliosis. His treatment is for her to have a lot of PT to the neck for the next 3 mo. and then go back for a follow up x-ray. If the scoli is progressing than he would like to cast her. He is doing research on the casting method at the University of VT (YEAH!)All in all I agree with his diagnoses and current treatment. Thank you for all of the support!
