Guest guest
When my whole body hurt....I spent a few nights on a foam mattress. A good one. I immediately went out and bought one. It made that much of a difference. Does anyone have any experience with the individual pocket coil mattresses?
Guest guest
I picked up a twin sized piece of foam around four inches thick at Value Village for six bucks and put it over my mattress, which sits on a piece of plywood. Hog Heaven! -----Original Message----- From: S C <sasc@...> I got a fairly hard foam mattress and use a two inch softer foam piece on top of it. It the most comfortable set up I have had. Guest guest
Hi folks, Saw this and thought I'd give you my mattress testimony. After my accident 7 years ago, when I couldn't sleep in any bed with any level of comfort, I broke down and bought a Select Comfort mattress. It was a godsend then. I have just realized how totally dependent on that bed I am. I am currently split between two homes. I had left the Select Comfort in the home that's for sale and was sleeping on the daybed that I had brought with me. I had thought I was to the point where I could sleep in a regular bed, and was even leaning towards using the daybed since it is twin size and the queen Select Comfort takes up so much more room in my tiny little apartment. Well ever since I moved I have felt like hell to put it mildly. I have been putting it off to all the extra physical labor I've been doing with this move that is taking months to accomplish. Every joint has been swollen, I've had splitting headaches from the neck pain. When I wake up I've been bent over frontwards by a good 15 degrees and to the left because of how stiff I am. My feet and heels have been just excruciating to try to walk. etc. etc. Ya'll know the story. When I woke up Monday in this unbearable condition (try finding a job when you feel like this!) I finally decided I had to get my Select Comfort over here pronto in a last ditch effort to get moving sometime in the day before 3 in the afternoon. So I drove to the house (1 1/2 hours away) and went through the whole rigamarol of disassembling it and brought it and whatever else would go in the car to the apartment last night. I then had to disassemble the daybed (weighs a ton) and move it out of the bedroom. Then put the Select Comfort back together again and put linens on, etc. I was exhausted, hurting and swollen with another killer headache, but determined. Needless to say, the expectation was that I had done so much work that I was going to wake up today feeling the same hell I've been feeling for the last month and a half. Surprise! I woke up bright and early, minimal pain, am nice and alert, no headache. If ever there was testimony to convince me of my need for that bed, I just got it!! You would be absolutely amazed at what a difference a lack of pressure points and good posture do to make you feel better. No I don't sell Select Comfort. And personally I've been wanting to try the Swedish mattress. Being without funds though, I definitely have to say this bed has to be the best investment I've made to improving my health. The jacuzzi just got bumped to second best. Oh well. Good luck - Jan K Ken and wrote: > For arthritis sufferers, a good night's sleep is important, as is the > position we sleep in and the position our beds put us in. Guest guest
Hi everyone...My husband and I are about to buy a new mattress. Does anyone have any experience with that sleep number mattress that you adjust. Some nights are so horrible that I was wondering about something different. I do have a cuddle ewe on the mattress but I don't notice any difference. Thanks, Judy

Guest guest
Royal pedic is not safe. It is clearly made with latex and that alone would preclude it form being tolerable to anyone with latex or even banana sensitivities. Also, the term HYP allergenic is a catch all phrase. There is no MEDICAL assertions with this that it's safe. According to the FDA YHYPO means LESS not an assurance its really that much safer. What are they using to make it anitbacterial? There is no such thing as SOMETHING THAT WOULD NOT CASUE A REACTION IN HUMANS!!!!! MArketing ploy! From their website :This latex is so healthy and ecologically friendly that it passes strict European standards. These standards certify that the latex has no chemical properties that would cause a reaction to humans, and that it causes no detrimental impact to the environment during manufacturing. In addition, this latex is hygienic, hypoallergenic and antibacterial. Mattress - Filled with unbleached hand picked cotton grown in the United States. Pillowtop Pads are made from natural latex grown in Indonesia and Malaysia, and manufactured in Belgium. Lamb's wool is from France, and European 100% cotton fabrics encase these handmade mattresses. All mattresses come on a " sleeper lounge " base made up of 1000 coils for better comfort. If you select the Level 3 upgrade which has the headboard hugger option, a foam filled base is substituted for the coil boxspring . CAVET EMPTOR. TGhey use COTTON from the US which plainly means its TREATED WITH PESTICIDES...or else it would say organic or pesticide free. FOam...probably a PETROCHEMICAL BASED..... You just have to be careful and make sure it is a legitimate seller and also that they ship it with cold packs because it is very unstable at room temperature. > > Hope this helps. > > Lori > >

Guest guest
Those so called *foam toppers8 that MOLD your body to them are extremely TOXIC with the offgassing. On their website there is no MSDS for their Polyforma. Polyforma is a firmer stegnth of: What is Polyfilax? Technically, the Polyfilax product is a special formulation of plastic memory copolymer material. The material is similar to what was developed by NASA for use in space exploration and to reduce the unequal gravity force of lift off on the astronauts. Polyfilax has the uncanny ability of balancing load dispersal very equally over the entire load mass. Furthermore, Polyfilax is thermally activated; it becomes more pliable ( liquid ) and pressure dispersing the warmer it becomes. To conceptualize, warmth " melts " the material so a body laying on the material for three or four minutes floats on the surface and the material becomes gradually less fluid the further it is from the heat source. This makes for a remarkably comfortable and supportive pillow. Coupled with the Lever-Spring system in the mattress, it provides the sensation of supportive cradling which is a result of uniform pressure dispersal. The reason Polyfilax is used in pillows and mattresses is simple; it is just abut the most perfect material for comfortable, relaxing sleep. Tests indicate high sleeping comfort and considerably less tossing and turning. In addition, the pressure uniformity qualities of the material create considerably less pressure on the back, neck and other joints. The result is a deep, restful sleep without the stiffness and aches and pains associated with other sleep products. In addition, since the Polyfilax is on one side of the mattress, you never have to turn your bed over! And with a 30 year mattress limited warranty, you can set your mind at ease while you rest comfortably! TOXIC any way you look at it!
