There is an excellent specialist in the area, Dr. Judith Rapoport, (author

of The Boy who Couldn't Stop Washing) who lives in D.C. She saw my son a

couple years ago, but I don't know if she is still taking new patients.

However, she does OCD research at the NIH and could surely give you a good

recommendation for someone else. You may even wish to participate in some

of the research studies, since they are so near by.

Dr. Rapoport also recommended a dynamite ERP therapist, Donna Burns, who

works out of Sheppard Pratt in Towson. She is not taking new patients now.

But Dr. Rapoport also knew other good ERP therapists in the area. You might

just want to call her or her research group at NIH for a recommendation.

I have a 4 year old son who I think might have some OCD behaviors. I

would like to take him to a child OCD specialist. I live in the

Washington D.C. area. Does anyone know of a specialist in the area.
