**Cleavers looks like Sweet Woodruff and they are closely related. It also

goes by the name 'Farmer's Friends' as the stuff sticks and sticks and

sticks. You can also boil it up fresh with water and use it for a deodorant

water. Apparently it leaves a coating on the skin like antiperspirant does.

Hi all

Its also called stickum and goosegrass. It grows with what looks like

square stems, and all the leaves etc. come out at the same branch, like a

halo. It also has tiny white flowers, and it sticks to everything.

It will work to clear the lymphatic system, but it has to be taken

internally to be of any real use.

Hi Alice....Cleavers is an herb. Has been used in folk medicine for

centuries. Blood purifier, used as a cleansing tonic, for glandular fever,

tonsillites, cystitis, even prostate problems. A compress with an infusion

can be used for burns, grazes, ulcers and skin inflammations.

Best used fresh.

The leaves can also be eaten as a vegetable - like spinach !

Hope this helps.

Hugs and blessings,

.

Yes, my daughter makes a tincture of cleavers and swears by this for cold

symptoms. Not to get too far off topic...
