Guest guest Posted May 16, 2007 Report Share Posted May 16, 2007 We just received great news that Dr. will be casting our daughter Sophia the first week of June. She is 7 1/2 months old and this will be her first treatment (40 degree curve with 35 RVAD & syrinx). However, I am now trying to figure out how to get us there and back. We live in Indianapolis, IN and will need to arrive in Erie the night before (6/5) and return home Friday 6/8. For those of you that have traveled with little ones right after casting... do you recommend flying vs driving (mapquest has it at 6.5 hrs)? Do they do OK in a care seat? Any airlines that offer discounted rates for these tyoes of trips? My mother-in-law wants to go with us so that I am not traveling alone with a baby, so there would be three of us. I saw the link on this group and contacted a couple of those, but some require more leadtime (NWA). Any advise would be greatly appreciated.
