Guest guest
Hi, I'm part of the Child & Adolescent Bipolar Foundation. It began nationally, and is now international. The website is at bpkids.org, and there's tons of information and resources both on the site and referrals available through the professional relations volunteers at CABF. Unfortunately, lots of our kids have diagnoses of bipolar and OCD and other disorders that may be related. There will soon be a page on the bpkids.org website on comorbid conditions, including OCD. Especially troublesome is that the usual medication treatment for OCD, SSRI's, could exacerbate the manic aspect of bipolar. The bpkids.org can be a resource for issues that involve both bipolar and OCD kids, such as IEP's, 504 accommodations, etc. - in California In a message dated 12/15/01 5:04:01 AM Pacific Standard Time, cpitonyak@... writes: > Hi - Does anyone know of a child/adolescent psychiatrist, clinic, > something... in the Virginia area (even neighboring states would be ok) > with > particular expertise with bipolar disorders?
