Dear Phyllis,

yup - that's one of the big differences between PA and Nevada! I do

recall that the situation was VERY different for the gifted kids in PA when

we lived there, but we weren't really dealing with it then.

With you as a parent, your daughter WILL get what she needs. It's

too bad that you have to fight so much to get what is your by law (and just

human decency). I hate having to constantly confront people to get my kids'

needs met, but it's absolutely true that if you just assume the system will

work for your kids, they will be forgotten.
