I wanted some Home Depot kits too to do some

tests on apartments I'm looking at just for mold

count alone and they only had two, so I am having

same problem. Ask them to get some in for you.

They get delivers daily. I'm told they may be in

stock but not out on the floor. Computer there

said they had 27 kits but only two were on shelf.

However it was near closing time so have to go

back to see if they can find for me. Person said

those small things some times are around but no

one is paying attention to restocking them. So

ask at customer service desk and unless it is

late, someone may be able to go and find them for

you, or order you some and hold them at desk in

just a few days.

I'm not test expert but I do know that culture

plate outside should be done at exact same time

as other tests. For example, if outside air

conditions are very moldy at time of test and

plate shows VERY high cladosporum count and

inside test mainly turns out to be also

cladosporum, inside mold may simply be leaking in

from somewhere like an area around air

conditioner that isn't sealed properly for

example or other leaky windows, etc. Or it may

be getting into venting in attic and then leaking

down into house from above through air openings

that can be sealed off, like around ceiling light

fixtures or attic opening may need better seal

around it.

This last time, I forgot to do an outdoor plate

also and wish I had since I got a lot of new mold

I've never picked up before and wondering if it

came from outdoors now but no way to figure it

out, since mold conditions outside can change so

rapidly.
