Guest guest
Just wanted to mention that I'd been using packaging tape, or clear laminate sheets over the tops of my labels for years, to keep ink from running. Works, too, but a bit of a hassle, what with all the cutting and stuff. Looked at waterproof labels, and thought they cost too much for as much labeling I have to do. Then, a friend of mine went out and bought a lazer printer for, like, 700 dollars, and I thought about that. Kinda shopped them around. But then I saw a post about the Epson C64 printers, and decided that for 59 dollars, I could give it a try. Man, I tell ya. It works. Plus the ink colors have seperate cartriges, so you don't have to replace all the colors when one has run out, and that is a super money saver, I've noticed. One of the best things I've done for my business. Anybody know a good place to buy the circular labels, like avery 8293 with 20 per page? That's my next thing I want to get the price down on. Cheers, everybody! Hope y'all had a good weekend. Back to school time for the kids, now, and no more sleeping in for me - darn! I'll really miss that. I'm a night owl. Guest guest
That is such great news. So with these labels from the Epson c64 printer the labels don't run, even in the shower? Are they oil proof as well? I have been debating about buying one of these for awhile. Now I know I will have to get one for sure. This will save me so much frustration as I do my own labels, then take them to a printer and have them print them on a laser which means every time I change a label, I have to head back to the printer and there is a lot of waste. Sorry to ramble, but I'm very excited about this especially it they are completely oil and waterproof. Thanks again.
Guest guest
I buy my labels from www.labelmatch.com I use the 21/2 " but they have several sizes. I pay around 25.00 (including shipping) for a package of 100 sheets If they don't have your particular size, they will work with you to get them Hope this is of help! Man, I tell ya. It works. Plus the ink colors Hi, saw your post about the Epson c64 printer. Can I ask why those labels are waterproof? Is this a special kind of ink that this printer uses? I didn't see the original post. Thanks. Deb
Guest guest
Does the label itself stand up if it gets wet? I have " water resistant " labels and the ink from my regular ink jet doesn't smear or bleed even if it gets soaked, but the paper that the label coating is on gets soft. After a short time the whole label looks nasty, so for anything going in the shower I do a laminate over. I just got some vinyl labels, but haven't had the time to play around with them yet. The problem with those is they are full sheet and I really love all of the shapes I can get in the water resistant. Guest guest
Hi Joyce Are you just printing these on regular paper labels or do you buy special stock? Thanks Heidi Re: waterproof labels I've been using the labels for about 3 months, now, and have never had one run. The post I'd read about them was that they'd soaked them for 15 minutes in water, and they hadn't run. I've used them on shower gel bottles that I sell to a bed and breakfast, and you know those must get alot of use - these aren't one-use ones that people take with them, these are bigger bottles, and just topped up after each guest. And she's never mentioned a problem with them looking bad. I don't know about oil proof. I'd think maybe oil could stain

They gave the images a nice mat/shiny sheen I thought looked cool, especially with the old fashioned look that I was doing. But, what if you have, for instance, the circular, 20 to a sheet stickers, run them thru the printer, spray them, and let them dry. Is it impossible to peel the stickers off, or does it NOT glue them to the full page? Probably look better than laminate sheets, be easier, and cheaper, no? > > Yes, I get it at an art store, but you prolly can get it at home depot.
