This is the formula that I use to figure how much a mold will hold or how

big of a mold I need to make.

The basic number is 0.38 oz's of oils in a soap recipe for each cubic inch

of the mold to be filled.

Example to fill a 3 inch X 7 inch mold 2 inches deep 3 x 7 x 2 = 42 cubic

inches. Then take 42 x 0.38 = 16 oz's of oils . So it would take a recipe

with 16 ounces of oils to fill this mold. This will help you figure out how

much oil for the size bars you want to make. I line my molds with freezer

paper and I really like it the best. HTH

Oh how wonderful...... Have him make you a lid for insulation. I have a

heavy wooden mold, they made a lid for me as an experiment. I put the lid on,

wrap it in tons of blankets (probably not necessary) and leave until it gets

cool. Then I have a neutral soap, much like putting in the oven overnight.
