Guest guest
Tasha, Ms. Mehta says the longer the better. Madison was actually in one cast 16 weeks. She got the best correction in that one. Remember the older he gets, the slower his growth rate, so he won't need a change as often as he did in the begining. I just got our new appt and it will end up being 3 months and 7 days that will be in this cast. Is that too long? Or is it better to be in it longer? Of course that could all change once Shriner's gets all our info and we find out what we are doing next. Anyway just curious how long most of you go in each cast. Guest guest
Erie used to change them every 8 weeks, but has since changed that to changing it every 12 weeks. Mehta suggests the longer in the cast the better... Of course, some kids outgrow the cast and have to have it changed sooner. Luckily, that never happened to Ian.
