Guest guest
I didn't have time to do a full workout this morning, but I did about 1/2 hour of Amy Bento's Kickbox Xtreme. First the good part: It is the most challenging DVD workout I've done since I finished my bodyshaping course at least in terms of working up a sweat. I'm looking forward to trying more of this DVD next week. The bad part: Her choreography is impossible to follow the first time. She gives you no time to get the hang of what she's doing; she just calls out a new move at the same time she starts it. I also found that my count was sometimes faster or slower than hers. But it looks like it will be great once I get used to her style. The annoying part: From a technical standpoint, some of Amy's kicks are terrible. She obviously doesn't have thorough martial arts training because she makes the common beginner's mistake of blending the side kick and the roundhouse kick. And some of her moves I'm not even sure are possible to do if you use proper technique. But this can be overlooked. So I'll have more to say about Amy after my next cardio workout.
