Yoga can be a strength "workout" but doesn't necessarily replace your weight training day either. Both formats are important. In addition, there are many kinds of yoga practices and schools all with different focus. Kest's happen to focus on strength and flexibility, but I've seen other power yoga/ashtanga yoga practices where you do one vinyasa after another in quick succession and you really work up a sweat! It's almost a cardio workout! The Body Wisdom series has some stength poses too, but excels in the stretching and relaxing categories. Bikram Yoga takes place in a hot room where you do a predetermined series of poses and sweat out toxins. Kundalini Yoga is different still and I'm more sore from this kind of yoga than any other and it loosely reminds me of Callanetics, but I digress.. In my opinion a nicely balanced workout week might be S "Challenging" Yoga M Cardio T Weight Training W Cardio Th Weight Training F Cardio with gentle yoga for stretching S Rest You could add long walks and more gentle yoga in at any time because they are low impact and easy on the joints if done properly and have spirtual benefits as

well as fat burning and flexibility benefits. HTH!
