Guest guest
Thanks for the vote of confidence, Carolyn! I'll have to check what Phase 2 entails, but I think it is the same as Phase 1, except I'll be doing Chest, Shoulders & Triceps instead of Shoulders and Arms, which means more push-ups! I think that workout will be harder, but I'll otherwise be doing the same rotation. I'll double check though! Overall, the P90X workouts are not " killer " - b/c you do go at your own pace so you really can make it do-able no matter where you are in your fitness journey. The two workouts that I think would be hardest on someone with injuries or injury potential are PlyoX (not good if you have knee, feet, ankle, etc. problems) and Core Synergistics (which I think has the potential to strengthen your back/core, but, if done improperly can be an accident waiting to happen). The rest so far appears to be straight " gym " style training. For legs, I can see that Tony has provided a more endurance-based/body weight workout, probably b/c it is really hard to lift heavy for legs at home without equipment or a spotter. I can see how he designed Plyo X to work your legs in an endurance based fashion and Legs & Back also works your legs with more body-weight/functional exercises. It is the one that has most consistently made me sore since starting. I can also see a difference in my legs, they are much leaner and look better than when I do heavier weights for my legs. I don't do the pull-ups b/c I don't have a bar, but the band seems to work well - but I do think the program would be tougher if I did the pull-ups instead. HTH!
