im embarrassed to post my check-in this week. i had a major lack

of motivation and have felt depressed for a few days. the kids

have been home from school alot this week and they fight

constantly... this really wears me down. im dreading the xmas

holidays -- 2 weeks of fighting, crying and screaming! H E L P !

but, i do resolve to make next week better for myself... i will get

my workouts done, eat properly and will try hard to remain patient

with the kids. i just want our home to be happy and peaceful ::sigh::

sun dec 2 - walked dog 50 mins, then later walked him in the parade

which was stop and go, but i figure worth a total of 30 mins

mon dec 3 - winter storm, so no walking outside and kids were home.

did housework max.

tue dec 4 - winter storm, so no walking outside and kids were home.

did nothing but break up silly kid fights all day

wed dec 5 - walked dog 55 mins.

thu dec 6 - walked dog 37 mins. really did not feel like walking

today but forced myself to do this much.

fri dec 7 - walked dog 60 mins.

sat dec 8 - did nothing... felt depressed.

4 days, almost 4 hours of exercise. what a crappy week!! ugh!

i must perk myself up and get back on track. i have taebo amped

workouts scheduled for quite a few days next week... here's hoping

i have the energy and motivation. i just need to suck it up and get

busy.

Oh Sweetie I'm sorry you're feeling blue :( You deserve to be happy and I hope that maybe over the 2 weeks DH can stay home with the kids while you can get away and go out with some crazy girlfriends and do something foo-foo and feminine for yourself. Another fun thing you might be able to do is cash in on a free trial membership at a nearby gym or yoga studio someplace. Often the studios will give you half off your first class or maybe even a free one. Working out at home is fun, but sometimes being with a group makes you work harder and you get caught up in the group's energy. Plus you're away from your house and kids for an hour or two..At any rate, I hope things look up for you soon. I wish you lived close by so I could give you a HUG!Bright Blessings,

Good to hear!! I've been feeling a little down myself... I think its the holiday season.

Just remember the workouts is what keeps those endorphins flowing and having fighting kids, you're gonna need it.

My DH will be off close to a month for the holidays and he messes my routine up and snores very loudly. I love him, but I dread him being home for that long.

Oh, I'm sorry to hear this Carolyn :( I think this time of year is hard for many to exercise??? Maybe just " lighten-up " a bit w/ your exercise and wait for your motivation to come flying back at you!! It will, I'm sure it will.

As far as the kids - I sooo hear you. My older two fight all the time too. If they aren't fighting they are running around the house wild as ever. Either they are getting worse or my patience has left. They are driving me NUTS lately..ugh.. I try to have more patience w/ them, but it's not easy. Hang in there, you aren't alone!

Oh, and if you're interested there is a book out there called " Siblings Without Rivalry " . It's a great read! I recommend it. It's hard for me to put a lot of it into action since my youngest is just two though. He doesn't understand a lot yet....

carolyn i totally feel you. i am not looking foward to dh and dd being home at the same time. he claims we will be going to jersey but i really don't see that happening unless his daddy sends a VERY big xmas check. even then its the to of them "can you do this, get this,i want, i bored" in their most annoying tone of voice. i can't say i have the fighting issue since i only have the one but these two are very needy and its always when i am doing something they need something LOL. i hope it gets better this week and i hopefully the weather works in your favor to keep up your walks. kassia ldy_solana's domain Too many people spend money they haven't

Oh Carolyn, I can understand exactly! My kids fight too - what IS it with

that? Sheesh. It get SO hard to be patient, and almost impossible to get a

workout in. I hate being interrupted by screaming kids. My little ones had

just Monday (snow day) and Friday (PD day) off, but my oldest was home on

Tuesday as well. He's not so bad, and spent a few hours at a friends house,

so that helped too.

You did get in 4 hours of exercise - it could have been zero, if you had let

it. So well done for doing what you could during a stressful time. Hang in

there!

hi michelle! i hear ya. i really do enjoy alot about christmas...

however, there are things about it that bother me as well.

so i kind of go up and down, i think.

lol, yes you are right! it really is imperative that i workout!

oh no... i know that you struggle to sleep at night when your dh is

there. mine used to sound like a freight train until i got him one

of those ergonomic memory foam pillows.... now he hardly snores at

all. i used to wear headphones to bed and sleep with music, nature

sounds and/or someone talking all night in order to block out his

snoring. also, i use a white noise machine which is located right

above my head and i really like that.
