Guest guest
Hi , Glad your DD seems to be getting better - it is so stressful when they're sick, isn't it? Good for you for getting back on the workout wagon, though. Oh, yes, dumbells can be substituted for barbells just about all the time. In fact, I think I prefer them -especially for upper body - this way I know my weaker side isn't just going along for the ride, the way it can w/ a barbell. For lower body, sometimes a barbell is nice b/c it is easier to balance the weight across your shoulders - but really, it isn't necessary. And, I do believe that a 40 lb bar is 40 lbs total! I used to be more impressed with that weight, but my DD is 36-37 lbs and I carry her around quite a bit - maybe I should try squats with her! Take care, Donna --- nancydewolf wrote: > I finally worked out today (first since Saturday).
