Guest guest
Hi Ellie, I read your posts about the marathon (congratulations! awesome job! ). I am wondering how you found time for BFL style weight lifting and marathon training? I'm currently in a bit of a bind because I want to focus more on running, however I don't want to give up my BFL style weight lifting workouts...I'm finding it really difficult to keep up with the lower body workouts and not be too sore to run. I was just really curious how you manage to do both. Also, do you perform well with the 40/40/20 BFL macro split? The weeks that I have my best running workouts are the ones where I am more of a 30/50/20 split. It's tough trying to combine the muscle gain, fat burn BFL goals with the performance based goals of running, especially since I don't want to lose any hard earned muscle while I'm training for the endurance runs! BTW, I'm only at 5k length right now, but I'm hoping to slowly build my running base over the course of two or three years so that I can one day finish a marathon! ~Meg
