Good workout, !

You know, I find yoga the hardest to have a favourite on dvd...there are weights workouts I come back to time and again, but not yoga. My mood influences it too much, I think. And sometimes the relaxing yoga is NOT relaxing, like you say - whether it's the workout, the environment or the mood of the day... <g>

I had extra time this morning so I took advantage of it! I did an 8 minute abs workout from 1 Minute Workout first and enjoyed it so much I did another 2 minute workout. I loved it! There wasn't a single crunch in the entire first 8 minutes and almost all of the exercises were new to me. I'm sold, now I gotta have this one too!

Next was Walk Slim 3 Miles with just music. I was so not in the mood to do this workout AGAIN. I thought about it and figured I'm not really doing her challenge (7 days, walk off a meal a day, lose weight) because I didn't weigh myself the day I started and I'm sure not going to do this for another week but felt like I had to stick with it because I told myself I would so I did it without 's gabbing again and ended up having a lot of fun. I did the entire workout this time and got very energized from the music.

After that I did 2 workouts from 10 Minute Solution Yoga. I did Yoga Basics and Yoga for Flexibility and Relaxation. Unfortunately, I just don't find this dvd relaxing at all. I get a good stretch and Lara Hudson is very good but the Yoga Basics moves faster than I like my vinyasa to flow and Yoga for Flexibility and Relaxation is just not all that relaxing (there's no shavasna at the end is what I think my problem is). I don't particularly like the music on this dvd either, it just doesn't calm me. I'm not getting rid of this one, the rest of the workouts on it are challenging and effective, I guess I just needed something else today. Oh well.

The rest of my day was spent running around like a nut case spending oodles of money and none of it on workout stuff (but I did get myself a great new digital camera that was $50 less than I'd seen it previously with some money my dad gave me as a gift plus it came with a photo printer which when I send in the rebate stuff will be free).

I have one favorite, but it is only 1 of several on the entire tape (Rodney Yee's Yoga for Energy, the first practice, "Awakening"). I've done the whole tape once or twice but this is the one I return to over and over. I know what you mean about mood though. Even this one won't do it for me if I'm not really ready for it to work for me.
