this isn't a mis post. It says that a drug which blocks the action of

GABA (whatever that is) removes some of the learning difficulties of

people with Downs ie they are not incurably genetically handicapped but

can be ameliorated mentally.

It gives the name of the drug. I'm posting it here because someone

wrote about GABA and autism. Does this suggest anything to anyone?

yes i remember that post GABA is an amino acid which helps with

relaxation. not reccomende to take until youve done the guts/bug clearout.

i belive mandi store this in mandimart

GABA

is a calming neurotransmitter (as opposed to an excitatory neurotransmitter

like glutamate) which is essential for speech! There must be more to it than

that if you need to block it! It says in Yasko’s book that glutamate can

help with ability in numbers/ maths and our kids often have an excess of it and

not enough GABA. Maybe Down’s kids have too much GABA and not enough

glutamate. Haven’t got a clue really but it doesn’t sounds feasible

to me with my tiny knowledge.
