Guest guest
Hey , I think that 's suggestiont to get tst redone is a great idea. When you do it, make sure that the lab you use is using age- appropriate reference ranges. It is absolute SHOCKING how many labs jsut use terribly age-INAPPROPRIATE reference ranges for so many crucial tests, and then end up prescribing or not prescribing the wrong thing. Here is a US-based pediatric reference range chart you could look at for these things - http://www.labcorp.com/pdf/Pediatric_Reference_Ranges_Endocrinology_09 81.pdf . I'm not sure if the UK uses the Systeme Internationale method of reporting or the Conventional method? Anyway, look at Triiodothyronine (T3),Thyroid-stimulating Hormone and Thyroxine (T4), Free, Direct (unless they do it by equilibrium). Then look here if you need to convert to Standard Internationale units - http://www.unc.edu/~rowlett/units/scales/clinical_data.html Hugs, Theresa > > > > > > > > And it is the Free T3 that is really crucial, if you could > only > > > have one thyroid hormone value this is the one that is needed. > > The > > > TSH and Free T4 along with the Free T3 tell the complete > picture > > but > > > unless the Free T3 is done you can't really for sure tell if > > Armour > > > supplementation would be helpful.
