WAS Kefir (NOW Kombechu)

Dear Sandy

I dont know much about this stuff so excuse the stupid questions... Is the fermentation with Kefir anything like what you do with vegetables eg making sauerkraut? The reason I ask is Dr U did suggest we try this a while ago. I have been chatting to a woman from the USA about this and she recommends we try to get something called Kombechu or something and also raw butter....??

Now as I say I know nothing and am just trying to read a little about this wondered if anyone else knew about this.
