Hi

Lara,

The Breakspear do single jabs.

I would also advise that some of the jabs

are totally unnecessary, put off any you decide you will do until the child is

older. Leave a long long time between jabs. Ask lots of questions

and look up all the ingredients of the jabs, look up the diseases the child’s

being vaccinated against too and decide if they are a real risk. Never vaccinate

an ill child or a child on antibiotics.

Ps. My neighbour’s off to do her

little one’s MMR tomorrow. I said ‘am I allowed to tell you bad

things about the MMR?’ and she said ‘no’ so fingers crossed

for that little one. she did seem scared of the big 5 in 1 though (is that on

top of the MMR?)

advice please re jabs

Hello All, any one

got advice or where to look for info on

vaccinations? my friend has a 4 month old boy, he is a cuddly monkey

at 19 lb and has had a cold since the age of 3 weeks, she has been

breast feeding & is now doing mixed. He has had his 1st set of 5 in

one injections, but no more as she really dosn't know what to do. He is

on antibiotics which finish in approx 4 days and is due to have 2nd lot

of jabs next week, which I have asked her to delay.

Any advice would be great

thank you. Lara x

Hi Sara,

's booster included:

Diphtheria + Tetanus + Pertussis + Polio (Repevax or Infanrix-IPV)

Measles + Mumps + Rubella (MMR II or Priorix)

We havn't done it of course & have had a blood test done instead for

anti bodies as advised by S.

The MMR is now given with Pneumococcal, 2 injections same time

At 4 months they are given:Diphtheria + Tetanus + Pertussis + Polio +

Hib (Pediacel or Infanrix-IPV+Hib) One injection

Meningitis C (Meningitec, Menjugate or NeisVac-C) One injection

Pneumococcal (Prevenar) One injection

Oh my god, I never realised this was the case!!!!

Scary, It would be interesting to do a survey to ask mums who are

vaccinating what the vacinations are for as they are so abrieviated.

Dear Lara

IN my Opinion Vaccination is a very personal decision.... has never had anything since the MMR and my little boy Cameron who is now 4 has never had any at all, he is the healthiest child around you should see him...

I would never tell anyone NOT to vaccinate cos the consequences of something going wrong and yopu having given that advice are too huge for me to take on board, but then I am a wimp!!

If this child is so sick his immune system should be getting checked out, is it possible he has a milk allergy, lotsa mucus is always a bit of an alarm bell ringer for me.... He should not be being vaccinated in this state and I am sure this would be the advice of sensible medics too, but heh what do I know....

Good Luck with this

Luv Caroline

I can't advise either but I can say none of by family will EVER have another vaccination for ANYTHING ever again.

Tom and Joe had all up to pre school boosters.

From the age of 5 and 6 they have been taught to say "get away from me with that needle or my mum will sue you!" as so many kids get jabs at school when they all line up regardless of what you put on the consent form.

One of his classmates ended up in ITU for 5 days after the Meningitis C - they thought she was a goner, luckily no after effects. Mum was distraught - she knew the dangers of vaccines but had lost her own brother ages 8 of Meningitis - what a choice eh? Poor woman.

11,000 adverse reaction reports in the first 9 months of the Meningitis C catch up programme..............and some deaths if I recall correctly - preported in the what doctors don;t tell you newsletter :(

Lara,

One thing you could tell the mother if she is determoned to gop ahead

is to get them to give the child a full medical exam first and get

them to record in the notes that they are vaccinating a child with

current illness. They won't like that. They usually keep bad records.

I agree Mandi

My boys will not get any more vaccines. I was given some stuff on

homeopathy the other day and it said that a 16 month old baby will

have had 25 vaccines - that is truly shocking. The woman who gave

them to me has 2 very healthy unvaccinated children. I would love to

have an unvaccinated child - I'm jealous!
