Guest guest
I recently purchased a rebounder (mini trampoline) and find it to be a fun and easy way to get some extra exercise. > > I need some ideas. Guest guest
I used to use The FIRM workout tapes and belonged to a group of people that used them... and the members from that group gave Cathe Friedrich's workouts rave reviews. From what I remember, they have a lot of choreography and are very challenging. http://www.cathe.com/ ---- clovelyathome wrote: > I need some ideas. It's a great work out and you can do it in the house and watch tv, listen to music, whatever. I like it especially because I can get up and only have to put socks and sneakers on to do it in my pj's! No bouncing up and down on this thing, it's great if you have knee problems or pain. Beth
Guest guest
I'm really not selling this, but here it is: Turbo Jam!!! (party jam) http://www.beachbody.com/jump.jsp?itemID=176 & itemType=GATEWAY I accidently took a cardio class while I was visiting my parents, and the teacher was a pro body builder (totally stunning woman), the class kicked my A**. Then she told me that it was on DVD, and people can get certified to teach it at their local gyms. If I'm not bopping around to club music on this DVD, then I'm hitting my stairwell in my building, doing push-ups and JUMPING ROPE!! You can look on Skwigg's site for HIIT ideas. -- > > I need some ideas. Guest guest
Posted by: " clovelyathome " cynthia.lovely@... clovelyathome I need some ideas. , www.collagevideo.com has tons of tapes, AND you can watch a short preview of most of them to see if you like the tone. You can rent them on Netflix if you're a member, and decide if you want to own them. They mostly aren't HIIT interval cardio, and aren't the prescribed weight training, however. Guest guest
, one of my favourite at-home cardio HIIt workouts is skipping rope. I do it outside, and if you have a patio then it sounds like it could work for you. Assuming your kids/puppy can play outside while you are doing it, then you'd be able to keep an eye on things. What I usually do is skip hard for about 1 min (about to cough up a lung, ha ha), then do as many reps of an exercise (I'll explain in a minute) which is about 1 min, then repeat 8-10 times to get a 20 min session. Some days I do upper body exercises, like this: skip elevated pushups off a step skip pullup (or modified pullup) off of a stair rail skip tricep dips off stair/bench skip plank skip crunches or superman raises for lower back repeat Some days I do lower body exercises: skip butt squats skip good mornings skip single leg calf raises off step skip lunges skip bicycles repeat You can add a bit of a warmup and cooldown as well to round out the session. > > I need some ideas.
