I was going to try an broad-spectrum amino supp. on Jack, as I really can't afford to have him tested right now. I found this one from biocare -http://www.yourhealthfoodstore.co.uk/details.php/p3001_biocare_broad_spectrum_amino_acids.html

do you all have any opinions on it, or anything else you recommend?

>>I have used the biocare one without any problems but hard to see gains, Sam is all low on amino's

Also, do you think I could get my NHS GP to do an amino test on Jack?

>>Depends where in the country you are whether the report is any good - Jo is in Manchester and got useable results on an NHS QUANTITATIVE Amino Acids Panel. Locally the results just comes back with normal on it here.

Any particular reason you wanted to try amino's? Is his diet poor? (my sons is super poor)

I remember Muscroft counsels against using amino supps if you suspect gut bug issues as the bugs can use them for food and grow extra big and strong

Mandi You mention bugs using amino acids for food - do you mean a small/moderate amount of yeast/clostridia or parasites or literally anything? Maybe best I refer this back to Jean?Rhona

>>I'm not sure, I just remember Jo saying this - post FAO of Jo and she'll fill you in.

It must be about getting things under 'control', nobody is free of ALL gut bugs for any length of time IMHO until full physical recovery which of course is often long after general recovery
