Guest guest Posted May 11, 2006 Report Share Posted May 11, 2006 I'm on week 6 of the challenge and my 3rd challenge in the past 4 years. I follow BFL most of the time but do get complacent and a few pounds creep back on. This time I wanted to just firm up a bit more and lose 5-6 pounds. The first 5 weeks I continued to have my 1 or 2 glasses of red wine in the evening and had not lost one single pound!! I decided to cut out the wine and this week I have lost two pounds. Granted that I usually start noticing changes around day 40 but I do think there is a definite connection that is not just calorie related with the wine. I found the article about the liver having to metabolize the alcohol before the fat very informative.
