Guest guest Posted May 24, 2006 Report Share Posted May 24, 2006 Well, the first challenge went great with little problems and total motivation, etc. But then the second challenge came around and I have definately been a lot more laxidasical(sp) in my attitude. I ended up having some menstration problems such as one lasting more than 2 weeks, being either on a period or total PMS, etc. so my attitude and energy went downhill. I kept reading people saying how they had stopped their periods and here I am as a breastfeeding mom wondering why I am even having them, let alone so extreme. Then I tried to " tweak " my routine, menus, etc. looking for the quick fix to my cheating and guess what?! I had lost to 179 then went to 186, 181, and now I am 182.4 so basically maintaining but not losing anymore. I was hungry too - constantly. So today I went back to the basics that I used for challenge #1 except that I have added in 1 T flax oil, 1 T ground flax (in evening smoothie), while still taking my Chitosan and 2 Salmon Oil pills. I did my cardio and definately hit my 10. I went walk/running with my two babies in the jogging stroller. My 8 yr old son came along with his scooter. Because it was so intense for me I told my son what to do if I passed out, LOL! But I did it and there is hope! I learned my lesson - no " tweaking " for me. As said early on " if it ain't broke, don't fix it " but I got freaked out and went for a " quick fix " . Don't let this happen to you.
