Guest guest
Good morning, ladies. Hey, how about the October pushup challenge we were all talking about? I just wanted to report in with my results. This morning I had my 5-week evaluation as part of the bodyshaping course that I'm taking at my martial arts school. I did 67 pushups in one minute. (That's up from 49 in my initial evaluation.) As a side note, I also did 41 situps (up from 30), and I made some measurable changes in my chest, waist and hips and in my flexibility. I've lost about 9 lbs. and I'm at 22% bodyfat (down from about 25%). Anyway, I'm counting 67 pushups for the October challenge. How are the rest of you doing? Guest guest
, that's still a lot of pushups when you add them all up. Quitting doesn't sound like you! Disappointment and frustration are understandable though. I hope you get back to working on those big, strong arms of yours. Don't give up! > > > In a message dated 10/26/2007 7:39:13 A.M. Guest guest
67 pushups in one minute! I'm so jealous! Congrats on the improvement! Here I instigated the challenge and only did my pushups two whole days this month! I did do all 50 each time though, just in sets of 10 throughout the day. Still.. pushing the floor away, laura
Guest guest
WOW!!!!! Way to go !!! Sounds like you've made some awesome gains in just 5 weeks! I loved this pushup challenge in theory but in practice I rarely followed through. If I'm not doing a workout with pushups in it I don't think about it until I'm reading something here later then I don't want to or am not dressed in a way that would make it really feasible for me to do the challenge. I've posted before that I need a visual reminder to do it so next time we do something like this I'm going to make a chart and put it up in my exercise room, then I'll be able to check off or whatever what I've done. Of course, I didn't think about this until maybe a week ago and didn't feel like making up a chart for a week or so (guess I'm not that dedicated to pushups right now!). But I've got it in mind for the next one at least! Anyway, when I've done them, I feel like I've made some progress. I push myself harder to do them than I used to at least so that's a good thing! Congratulations again, you've done really great! October pushups? Good morning, ladies.
