Guest guest
I did Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds (WATP) for Abs 1 Mile Walk this morning. Only had 15-20 minutes to workout though now that I'm done and showered and still have a half hour before I have to leave for work I'm thinking I probably could gone a bit longer without getting short on time. Oh well. Anyway, this is a 15 minute workout and it is pretty high energy for one of 's 1 mile walks and I JOGGED the entire thing including doing leg swings for side steps and jog/kicks for kicks and jogging knee lifts for knee lifts! I've never jogged for an entire one of her miles before (actually, I don't remember the last time I actually jogged for a mile anywhere) and it felt great! I probably had a similar pace to hers, maybe a little faster, but was adding more impact and more intensity to everything with the jogging. She uses the Walk Away belt for this which I don't own and don't plan to own and often, when I walk this, I use dumbbells or a stretchy band but with the jogging I decided to just do the arm motions with body weight. It added a little intensity but not a lot. It was a worthwhile 15 minutes though and I'm ready to go take on the rest of the day! This is my last day leading Weight Watchers meetings for my friend who had surgery. She'll be back next week so I'll be back to my regular quiet Thursdays (except I'm a receptionist at the meetings she leads Thursday nights, this is my last night teaching for her there too, I'll be back behind the desk next week). Yea! More workout time! Of course, next week I also start leading my own classes (new ones, they transformed a walk-in time that was seeing 40 people regularly into 2 back to back meetings and asked me to lead them) on Wednesday (and then have a Brownie meeting every other Wednesday afternoon) so that will make Wednesdays tough to get in a workout but I can see this 15-20 minute thing works so if necessary, I'll keep that up. Off to work in a few!
