Wed Workout - Fit TV!

Hi Everyone,

I FINALLY did the Ellen Barrett workouts I taped from

Fit TV probably a year ago! I did Pilates Sculpt and

Slo Robics. Pilates Sculpt is a bit like her Crunch

Burn & FIrm in that you do standing Pilates/dance

inspired moves while holding light handweights.

Slo-Robics is a bit different - it isn't quite as

Pilates inspired as her other workouts - but it

emphasizes the same principles of slow and controlled

movements - I'd say it is Pilates-like but with an

more athletic twist. Both workouts end with short

" mat-work " segments - although not done with the the

traditional Pilates-sequence - more Pilates inspired.

As with all of Ellen's workouts that I have tried I

found it to be a sneaky workout - seems easy, but you

start to feel it a few hours later in your muscles.

Depending on how that goes I may switch things up and

do my steady state cardio workout tomorrow and my

cardio/sculpt session on Friday.

Doing Ellen's workouts today made me want to buy her

new one from Collage. I don't know if I should go for

it or wait to see if it turns up elsewhere for cheap.

Of course, if I am going to buy something from Collage

I may finally break down and get that foam roller kit

from Voight, too! Thinking that would make an

excellent series to use during my P90X recovery weeks.

Take care everyone - life and work are crazy today!

Donna
