I had a bad week so I worked out today, my usual rest/recovery day. I really think that doing that doing Ripped workouts as much as I did was just too much for me, but, I won't not do Ripped anymore, I just need to increase my foundational strength. I'm not an advanced exerciser and I should have kept that in mind when choosing my workouts and weights.

TheFIRM Body Sculpt45 min. I've

had this workout for 5 years and don't know why I've only done it once, but that was then, I'll be using it regularly from now on.

Now that I think about it, I think I know why, I tried to do the leg

presses at the 14 " level and the max I should go is 12 " , so for now I'm

using the 8 " level and will buy stackable steps to gradually increase

my step height. As for the workout, I really like it, it is the sculpting workout from BSS1. It can be broken

into two workouts, upper and lower body (no abs). One of the things I like about these workouts is that the instructors use varying sets of weights, with Libby using no weights and doing modifications. Oh, Jen Carmen leads and choreographed this, personally, I like Jen, but I know some of you out there don't care for her. I think because Jen choreographed it, it feels more like an FIRM than these newer workouts - just no great music :(

There are some

awkward stretches between the two segments - awkward because the FL is

used unnecessarily, so I ditched it for those moves.The final cooldown/stretch is a relaxing 5 min

min. I never realized what a good workout this is, and I've had it

sitting around collecting dust! I didn't want to workout today, my plan

was to do Ripped 1000 but as much as I like that one I felt a dread

factor, so I pulled out a workout I hadn't done in years. Without any

impact and modifying the step heights I worked up a sweat and pushed my

body to that just right point. Hmm, I might do a BSS2 (and maybe BSS1)

10/04/07No workoutI just couldn't make myself workout :(

10/03/07SHAPE Transforming Cardio Interval30 min. Yup, I feel yesterday's workout :). This was the first time I did this Shape workout, and it OK/good. I got a good workout in 30 min. There were short, light weight segments mixed in too

min. I really like this workout and I always feel it the next day. I

was able to life heavier weights than before the Ripped rotation :)10/01/07No workout
