Diluent with paint contaminated the door. Any way to decontaminate it?

Recently my father painted the entrance door and the wooden planks

around it (which are both outside our and inside the flat). Several

days after that, I thought I sensed some contamination on the outer

side of the door.

I supposed that some mold contamination got there cause, while he was

painting, he entered my room once and asked me something carrying the

brush in his hand waving it in the air. And in my room there's an old

couch which is somewhat contaminated.

I applied some desinfectants to the door after he had finished and the

contamination seemed to have subsided, but not entirely. However, it

was bearable and nothing alarming. I SHOULD HAVE LEFT IT AS IT WAS.

But... some little devil didn't want me to let it stay that way, and I

thought that I would achieve the best result if I applied some

diluent (petroleum based), so that the new paint gets soft again, and

so that the disinfectant I meant to apply (eucalyptus and oregano oil)

would be able to penetrate deeper.

When I put the brush into the diluent, I neared it to my stomach and

nose and sniffed it. It didn't feel like it had any significant amount

of mycotoxins or mold. (I usually can feel that stuff on the spot).

I applied the diluent and the essential oils to the door (outside) and

to one wooden plank that's inside and stands between the entrance door

and the door of my room. This seeemed to have worked well until that

night... when to my horror I found out that the whole outer part of

the door, and especially that wooden plank inside the appartment

became SO contaminated that I could hardly believe. It off gassed

massiveamounts of mold/mycotoxins. It instantly made me nauseous and I

got diarrhea. I tried with various disinfectants, but nothing helped.

Eventually, I bought a product that is used to remove old paint. It

really did work, and I managed not only to remove the newest paint,

but several other, older layers of paint, at many places to the point

of the wood itself.

This procedure might have helped with the outer side of the door

(though I'm not sure if it will be good enough yet).

However, the wooden plank that is on the inside, is still offgassing

mycotoxins or mold. It could be because it is not made of solid wood,

but of plywood (I discovered this when I scrapped the last

layer of the paint).

I have to emphasize that this door is NOT exposed to any significant

moisture. In fact the moisture is now only 42% and I'm still

bewildered as to how all this happened at all. There's no question

that the diluent is the primary source of contamination, I sensed that

a few days after the application when I tested it again on my skin.

It's just that it didn't feel to be so contaminated to cause such

unexpectedly strong contamination.

Is there anything I can do to save all this? It would be EXTREMELY

complicated to remove the whole door, the frame and the OTHER door of

my room that are tightly inter-connected with the entrance door.

I already tried borax, various fungicidal essential oils... they all

help for a few minutes and then the contamination returns.
