I have not read it yet, the $34 price tag has kept me at bay, but I

have read good reviews of it from several different sources, and there

are people that sware by it as if it were the next book of the Bible.

Stinks cuz it's rather costly, but it is an EXCELLENT read. I loved

it.

Okay, so I bought it and printed it off at work...hehehe. Will read it

this weekend. I'm going home to visit so there's five hours drive to

and from for me to read. :)

Here's a little review of BFFM that I posted a while back.

~~~
I enjoyed Burn the Fat Feed the Muscle. If you've done a lot of
reading on fitness, bodybuilding and nutrition, you'll already know
most of it. Sometimes just seeing something presented in a new light
makes it finally sink in though. I like that Tom emphasises metabolic
individuality and body types . Body for Life is definitely a
keep-it-simple approach, whereas BFFM makes different calorie, cardio,
and carb recommendations depending on your body type and weight
history.
Here's a handy quiz to determine your body type:
http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/becker3.htm
Most people don't fall neatly into one category, they overlap. I'm an
ecto-meso, or " genetic freak " as Tom calls them. :-)
Ectomorphs tend toward tall and skinny body types. They require more
calories and carbs and need to watch out for overdoing the cardio if
they're trying to gain muscle. They're notorious meal skippers.
Mesomorphs build muscle easily and gain or lose fat easily. They have
the classic athletic cheerleader, soccer player, gymnast body type.
They need to properly balance the weight workouts and the calorie
intake or they can get bigger when they intend to get smaller.
Endomorphs have a softer, curvier body type. They gain fat easily and
have trouble losing it. They need to watch the calories and carbs more
closely and need more cardio than other body types.
BFFM covers all the basic fitness and bodybuilding principals that are
the foundation of BFL, but then Tom personalizes it a little more
based on your body type and goals. If you're doing a BFL challenge,
BFFM is an interesting read and will give you some more insight and
tweaks.
The two programs are very compatible but if you've never done a
challenge before, I would recommend starting with BFL. If you tend to
get overwhelmed and discouraged with too many options and too much
math, I would also stick with Body for Life. But if you're an
information junky who thrives on details, or you're looking to " tweak "
for maximum results, you'll enjoy BFFM.
