I don't know how well it nullifies mycotoxicity, or if it even does,

but I've used " Oxy-Clean " with huge success for cleaning algae and

black/brown/greenish stains off of wood. (old wood that has been

outdoors and rained on, like decks..) and other items as well..

You might want to give it a try. The stuff is amazing.

Often, wood looks like new afterward. That's all I can tell you. (I

don't have much experience with it over time, I just discovered it. I

have NOT used it on toxic mold. - In my past experience, its not good

to touch the stuff..and my current place does not have it.. thank God,

so YMMV.)

Directions: add the oxygen bleach to water, let sit 5 minutes, and

then use. Scrub the wood with the solution, then wait at least ten

minutes with it on.. thgen wash it off by hand.. (don't use a hose) -

If you are dealing with mold, I would use rubber gloves and a N95 mask

and also always make sure you have good ventilation.. esp. in any

attic where fumes would be confined!!

Given that you have had a reaction to this mold, you would definitely

want to hire somebody else to do this - somebody who is not

mold-sensitized who understands the importance of PPE! And don't be

there when they do it, wait at least 24 hours before re-occupying and

then use HEPA filtration, etc. for as long as you need to see if it

has worked...

Its worth a try, as it might help - and its affordable - and hiring

someone to do it would not necessarily be that expensive, as long as

you are not doing it to yourself..

I will probably need different type of approach

since I cannot reach all the blackish deposits in

attic due to height and no floor!! This is what

I would do if I could reach though, thanks.

I think I will try oxyclean on concrete outside.

Why do you clean with a biocide rather than something with a lower

risk of human exposure? Killing mold does nothing. Removing mold does

(almost) everything.

I've heard that Oxy Clean is less toxic than bleach.. as a cleaner, as

I said, I don't know how well it detoxifies mold.. although it is a

spectacularly good cleaner on some things.. (such as city grime on

outdoor surfaces..)
