It should be noted that HIV infected children often develop symptoms of

autism... also worth noting that several of treatment agents mentioned

(end of article) have been reported to be of benefit in subgroups with

autism.

this bit at the end I liked most: "... in this way HIV could serve as a model for other specific conditions that involve

chronic synaptodendritic injury, such as other infectious or

inflammatory diseases including systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple

sclerosis and neurological Lyme disease and HCV infection ..."

wonder if anyone here has tried any of the following: Minocycline,

Memantine (Namenda), lithium? or any of the other things they mention?
