Guest guest
The rule I use is if the product is to be used in such a way that no water will be introduced, then no, no preservative needed. those products are usually in a malibu tube or bottle. However if there is a possibility of getting water in, like a whipped body butter in a scoopable jar (step out of shower and put on butter before competely drying off), I would include a little preservative. With aloe based products I would consider it a " water based product " which would need preserving. Depending on your aloe manufacturer, there is probably already preservative in the aloe. If there is no other " water " in your mix, you might be fine, I usually err on the side of safety and add preservative. Petra
