This post comes with a *yuk* warning. Don't read it if you are squeamish or easily traumatised.

just had the most yucky *things* in his nappie ever. It was like a wad of string, white with twisted strands (in poo). I picked at it a bit and it was similar to a rubber band in texture. It was a pretty big wad of stuff (about the size of a cotton wool ball). was tested for parasites and came back negative on all fronts. What on earth could this be?

He does have a lot of mouthing objects, etc and he does chew his growbag, one of which is off-white toweling, I wouldn't be surprised if he hadn't swallowed that.

I'm pushing him on the oxypowder front and he's just started taking Transfer Factor, other than that nothing too exciting going on.

Just wondered if anyone had ever seen anything like this in their kid?

Thanks!

Hi Darla,

We just did an oxypowder clear out and I saw the exact same thing! I spoke to my

DAN

and was told it was probably threads or something he ate when he was younger??

But how

weird that you saw the same thing...I didnt actually touch them myself as it was

at the

bottom of the toilet! Nice to think it may have cleared out a blockage like that

though.

We had a massive clear out not dissimilar about 16 months ago

followed by some hard stools, Dr H thought that it was an impaction

which he finally shifted as he had a gastric bug at the time;

subsequently managed potty training as his motions improved vastly

afterwards - although we did have to move the hard stools with

movicol and senna first (pre-oxypowder days!).
