Guest guest
Oh, i just wasted £60.00 then! What test, would be best to determine lead levels? Or should i even bother and just assume my boy has high heavy metals. What is the current thought on this? thanks > > > In a message dated 17/12/2006 23:03:56 GMT Standard Time, > bbrowne123@... writes: > > Just had a heavy metals test and lead came out at 36 when > the " average " is less than 10. > > > > >>On what sort of test? Hair samples taken after a period of supplementation including minerals sometimes don't meet the rules which is why at a max of £65 I strongly encourage folks to get this one as baseline when they start biomed. If you managed to get into the high zone with the challenge then I would strongly suspect there is an issue and plan to chelate at some stage. Guest guest
Hi, In challenge test my son Yash was found to have lead at 67 which is extremely high. We are currently treating his gut as he has 4+ candida. Once his gut is ok, then only we will be able to do chelation. I guess the only treatment for lead is chelation. To mention my son has a high anorexia (lack of appetite) which is a very characteristic symptom with children having high lead. What lead poisoning can do can be found at the case mentioned at http://jnnp.bmj.com/cgi/content/full/69/5/687 Regards, Naveen bbrowne123 wrote: Just had a heavy metals test and lead came out at 36 when the "average" is less than 10.Anyone shed some light on this? I dont know what other kids' levels come out as and can't figure out if this reading is excessive, middle or what? My boy had high lead, high mercury and high antimony. This was through a dmsa challenge test.any help appreciated. __________________________________________________

Guest guest
Hi my son's lead is high also - don't remember figures but high, however he has a massive appetite, in some ways does not recognise when he is full (but he can be picky about what he does eat), is this " malfunctioning of the appetite " characteristic of lead or is he atypical in this? We have treated gut and should start chelation any day now. > Just had a heavy metals test and lead came out at 36 when > the " average " is less than 10. > > Anyone shed some light on this? Guest guest
Yes, and ours has very low levels of lead but was extremely anorexic for many YEARS until we fixed her low thyroid levels. She also had a ton of Bismuth, which is reported to cause loss of appetite. She now eats as well as any other 5 year old, which is not great, but tolerable and about normal, at times she will eat everything in sight and then there are days when she is not so good. But at least she is to the point where we have quit feeding her, honestly thought we were going to have to go to kindergarten at lunch. Also to the point where if she doesn't eat at one meal and you don't feed her, she is famished at the next, much easier. Re: Lead: is 36 excessively high?
