Guest guest
This was St 's, I would think? -You are very lucky to be within their catchment area. As to the genetics, statistically there is an increases chance of another child having ASD once you've already had one. May I suggest you also think about going to a Foresight practitioner as they will help you and your husband get " cleaned up " and without any nutritional deficiencies which may improve chances of a child without developmental problems http://www.foresight-preconception.org.uk/ Margaret > > Just had a 6 monthly review with the developmental paediatrician who dx'd > . Guest guest
She happily made the referral. Interestingly, she mentioned that there is a *real* rise in the rates of autism (she even used the word *exlplosion*) and said that there is no definitive explanation for this, she said it could be vax's, or environmental triggers with a genetic vulnerability. I felt very encouraged by this as she is HOD at the her practicing hospital and she didn't pressure us to give the blasted MMR (which was nice.) >>Has she had a flyer for the conference? Send me her name off list and I will arrange for her to get one - that goes for anybody else too! Mandi x

Guest guest
There is a dublin study that showed cellular changes in mice that persisted for three generations after use of ultrasound. Aims do an excellent booklet on ultrasound called "Ultrasound Unsound" available from www.aims.org.uk very interesting reading. Not suggesting anything, just following on from that thought. Guest guest
Yes, well I thought what might cause an explosion of a genetic condition with an environmental trigger in the last 20 years. Ultrasound fits the bill. Or whatever they substituted for lead in petrol. That was the 80s. Or UFOs but they've been around for yonks. When my daughter was diagnosed in 1996 the SEN department could almost be heard sighing. Someone said "There's been a huge increase in this suddenly". At the time I thought it was just one doctor (or lots) diagnosing more. I blame the little green men. I never should have let them in.
