Guest guest
Hi, I did Gilad Elite Forces this morning, I did this one once before and I really enjoy it - a basic, athletic syle kickboxing workout. Mostly punching, not too much in the way of kicking. Gilad keeps the heart rate up by throwing in lots of jumping jacks and jump rope moves. It can definately be made harder with the addition of light hand weights or weighted gloves. I definately enjoyed it and got a good workout in. The scene is interesting too - a military ship. Afterwards I wanted to do Gilad's Core and More workout, but the body of that one is 46 minutes and I didn't have time for it. So I went with Keli A.S.A.P workout (abs spine and posture) which is a stability ball/core workout (approx. 30 min). Really good! There are moves for your entire core - abs, back, hamstrings, butt. Nothing unusual in terms of the exercises but Keli puts them together well and her instruction is very good. The workout has an almost " relaxing " feel to it. it is well chaptered so you can do 1, 2 or 3 of the " mini " workouts included on the DVD. I picked this one up at Ross for a good price a few months ago and it was well worth it. I'd rate it as intermediate, it wasn't killer hard, but there were some moves that challenged my balance, posture and stability. On a side note - there is a " bonus " section on the DVD that contains clips of some other Keli workouts - Lower Body and Core, Upper Body and Core - they are supposedly two 30 min workouts. The clips look awesome - medicine ball and dumbell moves that work the upper and lower body with some " functional " core twists thrown in. I wonder what the deal is with these workouts - anyone know anything about them? Are they released? I wonder if Ross will carry them? I'd like to get Keli's Foam Roller workout as well at some point (along with a foam roller). Didn't get a chance to do my Petrone balls today - but I'll make sure to do them tonight. I can honestly feel a difference already. The last few weeks I've had trouble sleeping b/c of my hip/back area and now it is so much better. I can also feel that things are loosening up - in a good way - not an about to dislocate way. Okay, enough rambling, gotta get moving. Hope everyone has a great day, Donna ________________________________________________________________________________\ ____ Shape in your own image.
