good afternoon all, dh has all weekend off and he has been hoggin' the puter. damn him. LOL. so here is a quick look at workouts yesterday i did yoga fusion strength and sculpt for the first time. this is a dollar general find and i enjoyed the other two. the same format of yoga warm up sun salutations and a few poses. instead of pilates type mat work there was use of a playground ball and light weights to work mostly legs, little upper body, and abs. the "pilates" section was only 15 mins. but with intense focus and form it was a good way to blast the body(esp. the buns) with bridge poses and glute lifts without rest between the sets to help get burn in minimal time. i am not sore the from teh workout but i though my abs would have been. kim haggell leads this one. this morning i mixed two cardio workouts for a long cardio session. i first started with gliding fat burner

cardio. this alternate 3 short low/mixed impact cardio sessions with some lower body using the gliders. the cardio was not overly hard but they showed easier and harder modifications. all atheltic and easy to follow. she even uses the moves during the warm up but just adds a few extras during hte combos. the gliding is mostly lunge variations to get into the hips and glutes. the gliders are fun for this b/c i find it has been helping with form. she also uses them for the stretching which was pretty neat. something i will have to try when just watching the tube. i followed with body and soul(formerly aussie fit) fat burner. i though this would be an "easier" workout b/c most of them are but this was non-stop high impact cardio for nearly 25 mins. of traditional hi/lo moves from jumping jacks, flick kicks, and jogs. easy combos that are repeated a few times then built up on and a final product. the cool down is a little bit longer b/c of the

intense work and 5-6 min well deserved stretch for back and lower body. i was wiped after this LOL. well i admit to making a few purchases yesterday. we were on the hunt at yard sales for a book shelf b/c wal-marts version of a book shelf really couldn't handle the weight of viola's books. well we ended up a shop doing a moving sale and sold us a bookshelf for $15 but dh wanted to look at their dvds going for $3. well amongst honestly looking for a movie i found WORKOUTS. there was a four pack of yoga an dpilates (2 yogas one beginner and one intermediate with 2 pilates one beginner and one intermedaite) some for info here http://www.amazon.com/Complete-Yoga-Pilates/dp/B000CR7X4C/ref=pd_bbs_sr_1/102-1146874-7350558?ie=UTF8 & s=dvd & qid=1185746892 & sr=8-1 and the pilates

sculpt and tone with ana caban's pilates for abs and jillian hessel's pilates lower body(which retails at 19.99). they said they would give me a deal so $3.50 for each set, six workouts for $7. and not sure if we mentioned but last week during a drive to the store i saw a yard sale and saw risers for the step. i was looking to get some for the high step so i stopped to ask and saw she had the full sized club step. we asked ,she said $25, dh said what about $20 she said that was fine and gave me 3 pairs of risers.WAY cheaper then dicks and with an extra set of risers. i used it for some cardio the past week and its been great, really getting full range for step touches on the step and feeling an advantage to the workouts. i have been bad at this no buying thing LOL but they were good deals and i just rationalize that DH bought them not me LOL!!!! i haven't bought anything else before then so that might account for something . well off to make dinner have a great weekend. kassia ldy_solana's domain Too many people spend money they haven't earned to buy things they don’t want to impress people they don’t like.-Will
