Flooding brings mold concerns

Recent rains and flooding means you may have to protect your home

from mold. Not doing so could make you sick and end up costing you a

whole lot of money.

Workers at Rainbow International, a water removal and cleaning

business, have been busy the last week, tearing out damaged trim,

carpet and padding.

The health department says exposure to mold can irritate your skin,

eyes or cause shortness of breath or a lung infection.

Drying out the area is recommended, but it may not be enough. You

may need to remove absolutely everything that mold latches onto.
