Vitamin K1/2 mix from VRP:

Yes, excess oxalate formation due to problems in calcium homeostasis -

I suspect this might be the case (very speculative but would be worth

looking into). this is definitely what is going on in plants, ie

oxalates forming following activation of L-type calcium channels...

Natasa,

This might be our mistake, using a mixed blend with more K1 than K2. just posted that K1 is associated with liver/immune issues, unlike just K2 which is associated with brain/heart/calcium regulation. It's possible that's why you saw an increase in eczema and we saw an increase in resp. infections.

Hi Thanks for the info interestingly also has scolliosis, we saw an osteopath an he thinks he may have fixed it, I wonder if scolliosis has anything to do with poor calcium absorption? Sharon Gnatasa778 wrote: Possible, yes. Shame it is so much more expensive.....Natasa> > >

Sharon,

In a word, yes, if not enough calcium is reaching the bone, it leaves the bones as well as the eyes and teeth vulnerable. I knew her inability to adequately absorb calcium was going to show up somewhere, although I was anticipating it would show up as nearsightedness (family history).

Make sure he is getting adequate D, boron and K which will allow the calcium to get to where it needs to go. Add to this the fact that we absorb calcium at maximum amounts only up until the age of about 16. Another good reason children should drink milk, if tolerated, in addition to receiving adequate calcium supplements.

If you notice they are starting to add calcium to everything, o.j. included, but calcium needs adequate stomach acid (supplied by o.j.) and fat (not supplied by o.j.) to be absorbed properly.
