Guest guest
Is it O.K. to split up cardio and weighted workouts on the same day instead of doing cardio right after weights?. Such as do cardio in the morning and then weights in the evening? The cardio shouldn't interfere with the weights after hours of rest should it? Will the results still be the same? Now THAT i READ WHAT YOU SAID ABOUT CARDIO... I'm going to switch it around but today I have to do the cardio first and I guess I'll just do me weights tonight. Hate doing that cause at the end of the night ...I really don't feel like working out. But I'm gonna try anyways. Colleen Marie

Guest guest
Hi n I was following the 8 week walk/running guide in the files. The days for it and BFL cardio don't always match up and I figured a little extra cardio on weight days probably wouldn't hurt cause I also read that pear shapes like I am could use extra cardio workouts and it doesn't hurt to do more cardio when you are trying to lose fat. I have a lot of fat on my stomach,. wide hips, widebutt and huge thighs and calves. The two just walking days that I did .. I really felt it in my legs...and butt, and stomach! There is nothing like pushing your own body weight in a forward motion!LOL Do you think I would benefit more from doing the walk/run on just cardio days? I have other cardio workouts that I just love such as Kenpo and Plyo training that I will do along with the extra thirty minutes of walk/run on cardio days. It really doesn't matter to me if I'm officially running by the end of 8 weeks...It was a goal that I had set..but...I'm already off/ behind on the workouts cause I've had to take more rest days than the schedule...but hey it's all a process. When I can run for 30 minutes non stop...then that will be the greatest goal not the time limit that I had set. And if that doesn't even happen.... cause of having four kids, I don't know if my bladder can handle it....If that is the case....then just fast walking will have to be enough and I'll work on getting my time lower. Guest guest
Colleen Marie - I'm not , but why are you doing cardio and weights on the same day? BFL has 3 days a week of weights and 3 days a week of cardio n At 12:10 PM 4/9/2006, you wrote: > > >Is it O.K. to split up cardio and weighted workouts on the same day instead >of doing cardio right after weights?. Guest guest
H Colleen Marie - I'm not experienced enuf to advise you on exercise. My concern was that new folks, reading the messages, would think that BFL recommends doing HIIT every day. Which is not what you're doing - but I didn't want to confuse new-comers. I'm sure and other will be able to address your questions n At 01:17 PM 4/9/2006, you wrote: >Hi n > > >I was following the 8 week walk/running guide in the files. Guest guest
It honestly doesn't matter. Do whatever works for you. For runners, running is generally the priority so it's ok if it comes before weights. Getting the workouts done always has a far, far greater impact on your results than getting the timing just right. I almost always walk/run 3-5 miles with the dogs before I go to the gym for weights and HIIT. That's just the way my schedule works. I'd have some seriously psychotic canines if I eliminated their morning walk so I could get my workout timing just so. Working out at the " wrong " time burns a lot more fat than watching the clock and hoping you have time to squeeze it in later. > > > Is it O.K. to split up cardio and weighted workouts on the same day instead > of doing cardio right after weights?. Guest guest
, You are a wonderful example to us all. Thanks for the great website too. More details, please... Where/When are you eating in this daily routine? Thanks, M. I almost > always walk/run 3-5 miles with the dogs before I go to the gym for > weights and HIIT. That's just the way my schedule works. Guest guest
I eat constantly. LOL I eat meal right after the morning cardio and right before the gym. I have a sports drink like Gatorade when I'm leaving the gym, and I eat again as soon as I get home... and again 2-3 hours after that, and so on and so forth for the rest of the day. :-) > , > You are a wonderful example to us all.
