Guest guest
Hi All I weigh myself every day and put it into an excel spreadsheet and make little graphs out of it. It's a really good way for me to track my weight... But the most important thing is that it calms me down when I pick a day out of the week to weigh and track as my weekly weight and it's not a number I like. For example, last week I was 164.6... Today, for some reason, my weight is 164.9. But I know that for most of the week I was around 163/162. So it doesn't bother me. If I only weighed myself once a week I would be hysterical now because, OMG I'VE GAINED! But since I know I can bounce around 2 pounds everyday, I'm indifferent to it. Just wanted to put that out there for everyone else who weighs everyday and doesn't consider herself to be obsessive
Guest guest
i agree -- that idea " scales are unreliable so only weigh yourself once a week idea " never made sense to me if you can wait two weeks or a month , fine only do it once in a while or give it up altogether that might not be a bad idea (possibly) but once a week your not getting any better data doing in once a week than you are every day i weigh myself every day, average it for the week and that's my official weight for the week that i log in to my 12 week challenge spread sheet i do the same thing with the Omron (and i do the Omron 3 times in the morning and take the average of the three for that day's number-- and then average that for my official weekly bf number) i'm sure you are all going to think i'm insane after hearing all this but then again no you won't because scales make us all crazy that's what we have in common here on this list-serve On Apr 9, 2006, at 1:02 PM, Ellingson wrote: > Hi All > I weigh myself every day and put it into an excel spreadsheet

Guest guest
I weigh myself just about everyday. I don't log it into my recordbook everyday; just periodically. But here's my big point: if I weigh myself everyday, I can't let the inevitable fluctuations freak me out or affect my mood; I have to be realistic about it, and be able to see the 'big-picture' of progress n At 02:17 PM 4/9/2006, you wrote: >i agree -- that idea " scales are unreliable so only weigh yourself >once a week idea " never made sense to me >if you can wait two weeks or a month , fine only do it once in a while >or give it up altogether \

Guest guest
I weigh everday. When I didn't weigh everyday I was in denial and the pounds came on. Weighing everyday, just keeps focused and is part of the routine. I really don't obsess over a movement upwords, it is just information. Truly, the pants o meter is the most fun. I recently have really noticed the waist in all of my pants are more comfortable even though I haven't had a drop in weight. kelly > > so.........I'm just curious > > is this a consensus? > do people like weighing daily > some of you hate weighing -- daily or otherwise > and find it safer to do it weekly or less often? > felicity >
